Homework March 25- April 6th

Hello to all! I hope that everyone had a fabulous vacation. I have the unique opportunity to work at an orphanage in Nicaragua for the next week. I will be leaving on Thursday the 26th of March and returning on Friday the 3rd of April in the evening. I will be doing work projects while I am down there and spending time with the children who are living at the orphanage. I am very excited and feel extrememly blessed to have this opportunity. You can refer to blog while I am gone to clarify any questions. I will not be able to check my email for the next week, but will answer any questions when I get back.

Group 3 had an exciting week! On Tuesday we had the Spanish Fair. Everyone did a fantastic job representing their famous person . I was so impressed with everyone's project. Great job!

We did a lot of gross activities on Wednesday to celebrate "Gross Week." Some of those activities included making a gum graph, measuring the distance of the sunflowers that they spit, and also measuring how much water a diaper could hold. For snack we had dirt cups and bloody juice with bugs. In the afternoon we made goop, earwax out of peanut butter, and then a sample of amber! It was a great disgusting day.

On Thursday we went to see the Magical Flute, which was a fabulous performance at Merrimack College.

We only have one more week until vacation. Remember to work hard because you will have 2 full weeks to relax!

Spanish Fair!
The Spanish Fair is approaching fast! It will be held Tuesday, February 24th, from
1-3. The following are important things to remember for the day of the Spanish Fair:
1. Your final speech written on note cards.

2. Your costume and any props that you have or will use.

3. A poster board that has pictures of the person that you are representing. You will be graded on the following criteria for your poster:

a. That you clearly print the person’s name on the top of the poster.
b. That you include several pictures of your famous person.
c. That you include a picture of the country where they are from.
d. You need to include 3 interesting facts on your poster board. You may include a quote as one of your facts.
e. Your poster board should be done in your neatest work.
f. Your poster board should be very colorful!

Extra Credit Opportunity:
You can earn 10 extra credit points by bringing in Spanish food for the Fair. This food could be a favorite Spanish dish of your famous person. It could also be a dish that is native to the country your famous person comes from. If you have any questions about this feel free to ask.
